Secret Service Investigates Computer Server Attack at Georgetown University Containing Personal Information of Thousands of Area Residents Washington, D.C. -- Georgetown University announced today that the Secret Service is investigating an attack on a server containing personally identifiable information, such as name, date of birth and Social Security numbers, relating to more than 41,000 individuals who may have received services from the District of Columbia Office on Aging. The intrusion came from outside the University from an individual who did not have permission to access the data.
